Once a month we reserve a large picnic shelter near a children's play area in a public park for an outreach ministry to children, parents and caregivers. Following the puppet show the gospel is presented through a short Bible lesson based on the puppet presentation.
Fellowship
Fellowship is our middle name! We recognize the importance of fellowship in the first church during their times of testing and persecution. Fellowship is equally important today.
“Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” (Acts 2:41,42 NKJV)
A time of fellowship is provided after our Bible Study Fellowship just prior to the Sunday morning service as well as regular picnics planned to encourage and minister to the needs of both members and non-members.
Movie Night!
Our movie night is held every other month and is a time of fellowship around refreshments and dessert. We have a Bible based movie that is played on the big screen. It is also a time to invite and fellowship with family, friends and others to whom we have witnessed to in a relaxed setting.
Prayer
The folks at GFBC are known as prayer warriors. In addition to praying for our members and their families, we often receive requests for prayer from people in the community and from missionaries and others outside the United States. Wednesday night is primarily our prayer time. We also take requests in the beginning of each Sunday morning service. We print a prayer bulletin which we update each week with new requests and praise for answered prayer.
